The Modern Liberian Woman is a photoshoot created on Woodland Avenue in Southwest Philadelphia, a neighborhood often known as “Little Liberia.” Set inside an African food store, the project celebrates the modern Liberian girl through culture, community, and confidence.
Built as an ode to everyday beauty and identity, the visual language stays intimate and grounded while still feeling editorial. The styling, composition, and environment work together to center Liberian womanhood in a way that feels contemporary, proud, and deeply rooted.
